NEW DVD for teachers and artists on the method now available.......

In 2008, I invented a world first method of transferring detailed photographic images onto clay as a result of experimentation with various printmaking techniques. Motivated by a desire to see my own drawings faithfully replicated on clay I trialled methods that could be applied in classroom settings cheaply and without convoluted stratagems. Many months of failure followed but the inkjet printer, a common household commodity, held the key to success and a breakthrough occurred early in 2008 with clear images coming out of the kiln, at first using only body stains. I have since refined the method, making it quintessential as a system with the further use of oxide and under glaze. My prints can be formed, draped or coloured and will withstand high firing temperatures. The work has been featured in Australian Ceramics Journal, Nov. 2008 and Ceramics Technical. A DVD on the method is now available for educators and ceramic artists. Cost $55.00 (inc. GST) Contact: khodge07@bigpond.com for ordering.
